Anyone have nasty smelling vent air?

I'm sure many you know about the dreaded musty smelling AC evaporator issue. I'm curious how prone camrys are to that problem. It seems much easier to prevent the problem than to fix it after it occurs.

My car is fine, but the main driver of the car seems incapable of managing the preventive steps that are required. (i.e. turning off the AC a few minutes before arriving at your destination while keeping the fan on.)

Anyway, I've heard that some cars are more prone to this. Some cars even have a circuit that blows the blower for a few minutes after turning the car off to prevent the issue.

I think it's more of a location factor that really determines how prone the smelly AC problem will be. I live in Houston and it's always hot and humid. Even when I do those preventive measures, I still get the smell every now and then.
I found that I have to kick it up a few notches and turn it to full on HEATER with max blower speed and let it dry out. It's not pleasant to do that every time I park during the hot seasons, but it works.

Climate location will matter, but Toyotas seem to suffer this big time. So much so that Toyota started resin coated evaporator with a fungicide or something nasty like that, starting in 2004.

There was a post about this one time. Toyotas some how tend to collect leafs behind the fender in my 97 Camry case. If you open the front door you can see a little bit. Leafs rot there and you get the smell. tadaaa
