3rd Generation ABS sensor problem

Hey guys I ran into a problem and thought it would be best to post on here to see if you guys could help me out. The car in question is a 1994 v6

I changes my axle a few months ago and after i finished and went for a test drive I noticed that my ABS light was on...At first I looked in my book and saw that I was able to get trouble codes...I tried that and all I was able to get was the ABS an Cruse control light to flash constantly...

...I thought I had installed an axle for a car without ABS so I got another one and installed it and the light is still on....

What I am wondering is if I have to realign the sensor on for the axle or if I hit the sensor by mistake and have to get a new one ...

I called Toyota and the part is over $180 so I was wondering if there is a way to test the sensor a better way or if I have to get a new one...

Thanks for reading and hopefully helping me

Gene

Sweet Jesus monkeyballs, stop bumping and be patient. @_@

I have a similar problem with my ABS light. My mechanic said the speed sensor is messed up.
See if you can find what codes are popping up.

It isn't like I am bumping this ever 5 minutes o.O and if you read my post I couldn't get a code. The book I have Doesn't explain how to get the code good enough I guess.

Can anyone tell me how to retrieve the codes the right way?

Try going to Autozone or a place that can get your codes for free. Usually the sequence of the different lights that blink will tell you the code number, like moors code.
Look into the repair manual more closely, maybe it can tell you what the blinking lights mean.

Try pulling your battery terminals for 5 minutes and see if the light stays off. Otherwise, your gonna need to have a shop check the sensors. A regular scanner or multi-meter won't help you there. The signal coming back from the ABS sensor has to be checked while the wheel is spun by hand.
