1mzfe supercharger idler pulley

I was noticing a little bit of rubber building up on the smooth idler pulley at the front of the pulley plate thing, as well as some silver showing up on the flat side of the belt. I took the belt off so i could check it, and sure enough, that pulley is not rolling smoothly.

i removed the entire idler plate so i could remove that pulley, and headed down to autozone to see if i could at least match up the bearing, press it out and press a new one in. couldn't cross-reference any of the numbers on it though. on a whim, i checked to see what the pulleys looked like from a 2001 pontiac grand prix gtp (also equipped with a magnusson supercharger). searched for the idler pulley - it asked smooth or grooved, so i picked smooth. then 3.5" or 3", and i picked 3. the part that came up was in stock so i grabbed it for $18.

it matches PERFECTLY! fit could not possibly be better. there is even a 404 stamped into the pulley itself, just like the TRD one I removed! the little brass spacers also fit perfectly, and there's no chance of it rubbing anywhere.

Just thought I'd post this out there for anyone who has failing idlers in their supercharger kit. I didn't check the grooved pulleys from the pontiac to see if they would fit since mine are still good, but i wouldn't be surprised if they did fit properly.
