Face and Ass lift! (56K, pop a tent, and roll out a sleeping bag!!)

Some of you may have read awhile back that I purchased some parts from Australia. You can read up on it here: Clicky Me!
I put the rear on a while back, but every time I went to take pics, they came out horrible. Here are some decent ones. I was having to block the sun in some of the shots. The headlights fit in like a glove! The grill took just a bit of messing with, but nothing too hard. I had 9006 HIDs so I bought an adaptor to run D2R/S bulbs in an H4 socket thats in the new headlight. I went with some 4300K D2R bulbs. I also bought a wiring adaptor to convert an aftermarket ballast to a screw-on D2R/S connector. The plugs didnt match up, so I had to do a little bit of swapping of plugs, it was simple. So now on to the pics!

The wiring adaptor

The H4/D2R/S bulb adaptor

The before pictures(hoods popped)

Notice that the USDM headlights have the headlight with a cage type structure, where the AUDM one is all one piece.

The adaptor I made to convert from 9005 to H1's. These H1's plug into the cover that converts it a 2 prong instead of 1.

And now for some ass shots with the new(to me) AUDM tail lights and "Vienta" center panel

Man I cant wait for dark, so I can go out and see how the lighting is going to be! I am excited!!

No, the H1's are designated high beams. The bulb configuration is H4 hi/lo and H1 hi. I only have a ballast that will only do low beam, so the H1's will strictly be high beams.

Ah nice, you got the Vienta boot centrepiece... good work mate. I have the one that says "CAMRY", haha... man, we're too busy trying to CHANGE that exact same setup that you have there. Looks like the lights and centrepiece woulda come off a 96 or 97 Gen 3.5... the 92-95 ones are completely different again. You can't have 3.5 centrepiece and 3 lights etc, they don't sit flush

I imported the Red/Clear/Red tail lights here... purely because no one has them here. There's only 3 people in Australia that have these lights :P

Nice headlights though. I'm guessing the American setup for High/Low beams are different? Just H1s and H4s... good stuff.

i know it's all JDM or AUSSIEDM....but i still think that grille looks weird and the headlights don't look much different than the regular ones. DEPOs are still miles better imo.

that vienta centre piece though..I love it!

To let you know, the AUDM ones are miles ahead of DEPO lights. Hella makes the AUDM ones. The advantage is the lenses are glass and all the adjustments to the alignment of the headlights are internal, meaning when you adjust the headlight, the actual headlight doesnt move. The fitment of these is way better than DEPO's. The last DEPO set I had, left gaps around the hood and between the corner lights and headlights. The AUDM lights sit flush and line up perfectly! You would really have to see them in-person.

Yeah I was really excited about the headlights when I found out that there are glass and not the crappy plastic lenses we have in the state. The American setup for High/Low beams are much different. The US version is 9006(low) and 9005(high). Not that great. I would much rather have H4/H1's any day of the week! Besides the rest of the world uses H4/H1's I dont know why the US has to be so different.

^^See I thought about doing that, but I was so displeased with the overall fitment of DEPO's I decided against it. The light output on these AUDM headlights is eons better than the USDM lights. Plus I like having original things, like the headlights and rear panel. Plenty of people have gone the DEPO/projector route, and I wanted to do something different.
