4th Generation Camry stall on cold start...

Ive seen this problem a couple times on here but havent found any straight answers. Seems to be a prevalent (common) problem so i would think the same solution should work for all. Anyhow...

I own a 99 Camry LE 4 cyl and occasionally it will stall right after i turn the ignition. Not a violent stall, it will just start up at the normal 1,700 rpm (cold start) and quickly idle back to 0 and shut off. Almost like i turned the key off immediately after start up. The only way to circumvent this is to hold my foot on the gas and keep it above 1,000 rpm for about 3-5 min and then take my foot off and everything runs fine. I shared this with someone who owns a 91 Camry and he told me the exact same thing happens with his on occasion.

What can I do to fix this?

Like i said before this problem happens rarely... Once every 2-3 months but lately its been about 3-4 times a week. I can only assume some sensor has gone bad but, im not a mechanic so i wouldnt know really where to look first.

Thanks for taking the time.

Im not sure about what sensor could cause this because i dont know much about the sensors in the first place, but my opinion is you need to change your fuel filter. Also clean your throttle-body (theres a DIY for that on this forum). Hope this helps
