3rd Generation Timing Belt Tensioner Picture Gen3 V6

Hi

Does anyone have a picture of the timing belt tensioner? I bought a timing belt kit and it only includes a timing belt, 2x idler pulley and the seals.

Doesnt the tensioner should be included in the kit?

Cheers

Yeah you should replace it if you are having repeat problems, just in case. i have never seen a tensioner in a 1mz timing set, just the tensioner arm & pulley.

Tensioner can be reused and usually last a long time. There are some bad batches, such as some used on the 3.4L V6 years ago that crapped out left and right. Otherwise test and reuse.

It;s a fairly cheap part. You should always replace it with the timing belt for added security.
