Where can I find this solenoid for the hydraulic fan?
My car overheated today and my mechanic told me that the fan is not turning that fast ? he placed his hand on the fan while it was moving and there's not much resistance at all.
the cooling ecu and engine coolant temp sensor control how much fluid the solenoid lets to the fan. check the sensor first, which is located on the drivers side water inlet, then check the solenoid which is located near or on the power steering pump.
if you look on the rear wiring harness, there will be one wire going from the harness to the power steering pump
as for how to check it- you can unplug the wire and try running a 12v source to it and see if your fan then kicks in. if not, it's probably the switch. but if it's the switch....I don't think you can just change it....but not too sure....probably be easier just to replace the pump itself.

rusty9 just told u where it is. Aside from that u may wanna take a look at ur hydraulic fan motor to see if its also making any unusual noises or its getting too hot.
doubtful, because since there's only one wire going to that solenoid on the pump that changes the pressure, if you turn on your a/c it will just make your car heat up even faster since the a/c idle up (ps pump-wise for the fan) signal will also be coming from that wire
