I have just installed a new window regulator into my '92 camry. When I press the switch to go down, the window goes up. I have re-checked the wiring and it was fine. I am out of ideas If it helps, the bag the regulator came in said "'02-'06". Can someone please tell me whats going on?
yes the passenger side on my 95 coupe did this i pulled the door panel and luckily the wiring was really easy to remove from the connector. I switched the two wires and now it works perfect. It was a reman unit from oreillys and had been reversed from their remanufacturer. Not an uncommon problem
Ok thanks guys, I will try this tomorrow as I am too tired. I also have another question, I have removed the inner plastic that covers the door cavity. Will that affect anything? This one more specifically: http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ent/Step11.jpg (ty dz63 for the picture)
I had the same problem - window worked the opposite of the normal switch operation. Just as bmxr4life87 said, I swapped the wires in the connector, and all is good now.
Guys it could be worse... my old DX's driver main windows control popped a contact somewhere... So you were able to open the 2 rear windows, but the passenger side closed with the drivers side switch, and the drivers side window wouldnt close anymore(even the local switch died)...
So i had to go to the rear motors, boost them closed with a cordless drill battery and then cut the wires.
