Help! :( overheating camry! gen3 5sfe

ahhh! i dont know what to do! i feel so sad right now.

i drove my brother to school this morning and the car drove fine, running absolutely perfect.

then in the afternoon i went to pick him up. On the way home, i noticed the temperature at 3/4 height and it was slowly rising... i was in alot of traffic at the time and there was no where to pull over, so i did what came to my mind. i turned my cd player off. and drove with as low revs as i could with the auto trans.

basically as soon as i turned my cd player off, the temp guage went back to half way, so i drove home and when i was close to home i turned the headunit back on, just to see if thats what was causing the overheat. it seemed to stay the same but i decided to check what was wrong anyway.

popped the bonnet, checked all the fluids, all fine. no leaks, nothing. in fact, i just got the car serviced not too long ago.

started the car up one more time, and basically as soon as i start the car, the temp skyrockets up. so i quickly turn off the car.

i have no idea what was wrong, driving home, i had no loss in power, the car also idles fine. no black or coloured smoke coming out of the exhaust, no weird noises from the engine, nothing. just the temperature going up even if my headunit is turned off now.

any ideas? this car is very dear to me and i have no idea what to do. i cant really drive the car anywhere even close because the temperature will be at full before i even leave my street.

have you tried opening the radiator cap (do it when it cooled down) to see if there is any air in radiator? you may need to release the air from there and top up he radiator with coolant fluid, so the system starts operating normally.

I don't quite get what a CD player has to do with it, but I would check all fuses in engine compartment, pay attention to MAXI fuses. if car is like mine (9 years old), simply replace all of them looking suspicious even if not broken, sometimes they still look good but work in odd way (current fluctuating or not going through at all). 30A fuses are for radiator fans.
