spark plug issues?

i just bought my 94 camry 4cyl used about 2 months ago, and havent had a chance to do anything other than oil change.

occasionally, usually after not driving for a day or two, i will start my car and it will stutter, and sometimes die if left idling. when accelerating, it'll accelerate, then pause, then accelerate, sort of like there is trash in the fuel tank but i am 100% sure thats not it.

im wondering if this is a problem with my spark plugs or something else?

thanks

depending on mileage I'd rather replace the fuel filter.
for a complete tune up you may want to replace also the spark plugs and wireset as well (stick to Denso/NGK brands for best results with no pain).

if it dies frequently, there maybe a dirt covering the IAC valve, throttle body cleaning may help:

also make sure you have fresh & clean air filter.

Yes, there are a number of things, as mentioned, that may need attention.

I'd use NGK Iridium-IX or if you want a cheaper plug the NGK G-Power platinum. Both of these have smaller center electrodes. But I think plugs are low on the list causing your current problem.

Besides idle air valve and fuel filter, I'd also dump a can of Chevron Techron Fuel System Cleaner into the tank and check for carbon build up and smooth operation of the EGR valve. You may also have vacuum leaks from hardened rubber gaskets/seals.
