well i took the ES on the highway and tried to set the cc and nothing happened. the cruise light came on but it didnt set. and after some searching i believe im looking for a "brake light/cruise control switch". could somebody explain to me where this is and how do i fix it? (oddly enough my celica does this too so hoping to hit two birds with one stone

)

it's at the top of the brake pedal bracket. search for my "install factory cruise" thread in the gen3/4 forum or find it in the big DIY thread full of links. that goes into good detail about it.

good read. but can i fix it or do i have to buy a new one?

new. it's about as comlpicated as a light switch, and isn't rebuildable as far as i know. shouldn't be more than about $20 at a parts store like autozone or advance.
