Braking Issues

I just replaced rotors and pads on my Gen 4.
I also cleaned and adjusted the rear brakes.

After doing so, whenever I hit the brakes in reverse only, the whole car jerks around and there's a metal on metal sound. It's not really a screech but more of a clunking noise.

I searched the forums and didn't really find anyone with the same problem. I planned on bleeding the brakes and checking the slide pins but it started raining today.

I figured I'd ask around here to try and save myself some unnecessary labor.

Thanks in advance!

Did you lube the caliper/pad contact points?

Sure, check the pins and make sure the bolts are properly tightened. I'd recommend a $15 on sale 1/2"-drive torque wrench at your local Harbor Freight.

Also make sure the lug nuts are tightened in 3 stages in a star pattern.
