Blue smoke? As in oil consumption??
Most oil consumptions are from worn valve stem seals. However, it could also be piston rings. Squirting oil during compression test can help determine the cause.I'd use Fel Pro's stem seals.
Running low on oil could also cause rod/main bearings to wear, among other things. But you can check/replace the stem seals without opening up the engine, as in the case of rings and bearings.

Looking under the valve cover when we did the timing belt.. It had some major sludge.. I scraped it all out and cleaned it up at 120k now I'm near 140k and I checked again under there.. It looks clean still.
noticed valve 3 and 4 had oil around the plug.. and am just wondering where to start. I'm wondering if this engine is going to go soon? It ran on low oil due to the oil pump gasket for a long time.. I would check it 2x a week. thats fixed 10k ago
It does have a high pitch vrrrrrr when listening.. any good advice is appreciated..
