Short Block Helppp

Hey boys,
So here's the deal.

I am putting together a short block for my new motor (1mzfe). In the process, i have found that after torqing (spelling?) the main cap bolts, as well as 4 of 6 rod caps, I cannot get the crank to turn in order to tighten the remaining 2 caps.

The crank is oversized, and came with bearings to match it, so that should not be an issue.

Everything was lubed properly.

I am thinking it might just be that tight. Is that possible? I don't want to loosen up the main bolts because those are those expansion bolts (which are brand new from toyota). Would it hurt them to torque them and then re-torque them?

Any ideas would be awesome. I will post more details on the actual specs of the build after it is done and running.

HELPPP!!!! please. Any ieas...

P.S. Me and my buddy used a foot long breaker bar to try to get it to turn (on the big main crank pulley bolt, without the use of an engine stand), and that didn't work.

Would love to hear your rebuild. Let me know how the aluminum head bolt threads in the block turn out, in terms of holding the head bolts.

Do you mean undersized crank with oversized main bearings??

Did you check bearing clearances BEFORE lubing the main bearings?

Sounds like you don't have enough clearance. The crank should rotate easily and smoothly. The standard procedure for checking clearances is precisely to torque to spec and check and then torque to spec. But not sure about doing it a third/fourth time, probably still ok. ??
