I think I've hurt my car's feelings, and now it's getting even

Whoever said cars don't have feelings is wrong. I love my Camry. There's never been any doubt about that. However, lately I've been working on my 65 Mustang every chance I get. So, ever since March, when I got the Stang back from paint, My Camry's been developing a few problems.

A week after the Stang came home, the Camry's rack & pinion developed a very slow leak. Then a few weeks after that, the all the tires start to show VERY uneven wear, because the alignment's suddenly gone bad(pulls a bit to the right), and just 3 days ago...the punch line...the right rear strut blows out, and the left rear strut's on its way out!

Thankfully both front struts are still good. All 4 struts have a liftime warranty, so all I pay is labor. But, I'm still going to be out nearly $800 for the rack & pinion, the rear struts, 4 tires, alignment, and labor.

The Camry is with out a doubt, jealous of the Stang.

You know, I think they do have feelings too!

I've been driving the Coupe for the past 2 weeks regularly, and I notice last nite that the GMC was giving me this, funny look when I walked by it.

Haha nice story I know what you mean. A couple of months ago, I thought of a new car and that same week one of the O2 sensors gave out! I don't know if it's just me, but it seems nearly every gen 3/3.5 camry blows the rear struts, but never blows the fronts My car developed that issue as well about 2.5 years ago, and the weird part is my car hasn't really seen any passengers in the rear seat and other than the occasional heavy load, I never really hauled anything with my car. As someone put: we own one of the most over-engineered and over-built vehicles of the '90's, especially us V6 owners

Heh.
The day after I put my Camry on Craigslist, she broke down right in front of the house on my way home from school. The distributor shorted out.
I had tons of hits too... had to take it off since we had to fix it.
It's been running fine ever since. <_<

This thread reminds me of my first car, an Audi Fox. I made many trips to the junkyard to get parts. I swear every time I left the yard the car ran much better like it was scared it might end up there someday.

I drive an 02 Honda Civic for commuter and 05 Saturn Vue for Airport pickup and road trip. I put zero mod on those, that's why Camry doesn't give me the attitute
