Alignment preferences

So I have been playing with my alignment a bit to see how it effects the car's handling. Don't worry after I get a setting that I like I am going to have it professionally dialed in, but for now a caliper and tape measure are working out ok.

How many people have non stock alignment? What do you have yours set at?

I seam to prefer a bit of toe out in the front, for the rear I haven't decided yet. I tried a small toe in yesterday and it was super stable no matter what I was doing, but tended to push the front a bit, like a Cadillac, now I've got some toe out in the rear and it's really quick, but a tad twitchy, like a focus, and tends too push out the rear. I haven't played with the camber yet. (ohh and I've got a TRD swaybar and tires that need to be killed )

It seams like after the sway bar, the rear toe setting makes the biggest difference in how the car handles, but I haven't seen anything posted about it in the forums yet.

My tires are way too expensive to use anything other than factory settings.

I'm up in bangor, and I have the best year(imo), 96.

What do you have for tires? You could still play with the alignment without killing the tires quicker, you just have to be conservative about it, no crazy camber or anything.

Right now i have the front strait on and a bit of toe in on the rear (I forgot what i set it at, but it's not much) It likes to follow grooves but it's a decent sacrifice between the super fast toe out and the stability of toe in. I get pretty damned good lateral traction in the front and the rear responds well when it slides, which isn't uncommon with these blizzaks on it, they are highly over rated in my opinion. :/

how are those? I'll be needing a good set of summer tires soon, and I'm looking for something with good traction in the rain.

Given: all four rubbers the same size you can rotate them:

* Tire Saver Mode *

Camber
LF -0.25 to -0.5 or same as RF if the roads have minimal crown
RF -.030 to -0.6

LR 0.0
RR 0.0

If it pushes to much add some more negative camber to the front or some positive camber to the back. Pushing is the warning sign to back off the entry speed. Even though the back has no weight, I'd never get too carried away with the (-) camber as it won't give you any warning before it snaps!

If you're all freeway miles, even 1/2 neg can wear the front tires . . . Then again, whazz the f'g point anyways??
