94 Alarm System

I have a 94 Camry with an alarm system. The system is NOT keyless, has an immobilizer circuit, it's own horn/siren system, a light to the left of the steering wheel and a button under the drivers dash. There is no name or nameplate on the unit. Is this a factory system or aftermarket??? Does anyone have a wiring or a connection diagram for this system. My daughter now drives the car but it has given her problems were, somehow, it comes on and will not allow the vehicle to start. Operation instructions would also help since I am sure she is activating the system somehow.
Since I think the demand for 94 Camrys have dropped, I would like to completely remove the system or at least completely disable it.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

I dont think a security system was factory then, and if it was on the vehicle when bought, it was most likely affixed by the dealership before sale. I have a keyless entry system that came on my Camry, and the dealer provided documentation. I believe it was a Checkmate System.

professional,

thanks for the reply...The local dealer contends that they can remove the system for a mere $200.00 but they can not provide me a diagram to show wiring connections or operation of the unit.

The main box of this immobilizer system (typically the size of 3-4 packs of cigarettes), is located in front of the driver's knees (I'm 99% sure because it has many advantages: close to the button, and to the blinking light, and close to other wires). So disconnect one battery terminal, take a flashlight, look under the dash (driver's feet) and remove 3-4 screws. Then you'll see a small box with the wires leading to the blinking light and the button. All that is needed is disconnect the main connector on that box. No more power to that box, everything's fine. Leave everything else as is. Don't worry about anything.
