So let me know what you guys think so far, and what should i do next. maybe even some DIY mods
well honestly i wouldnt really go futher then your planned mods with that car, suspension being the best mod for you. alot of miles and the worst of the options in terms of performance potential. but it can look and sound good. id spend money on keepin her in good shape and if ya ever want more performance...seek another model or another car.
i would loose the hubcaps and rock the steelies, put on normal wiperblades and lower it a bit. besides that it looks like your going for the dx look. the car looks good keep it up. 180k isn't bad i got 237k and i know there is higher on here
My just got to 200,000 about a month ago, as long as the chassis is good it will keep going, I am on motor #2 though (previous owner's fault), sry I had too share, I'm proud of it.
wowww. 200k+ >_< i hope mine gets there. only real prob i have now with it is that the wheel alignment is off slightly. had to change (i think it was) the CV Axle. now the wheels at like 11:00
dono which to get first, the new shoes or the lowering
if your goin to do suspension then do an extensive search for what your lookin for and do it right. just gettin springs is a bad idea and a pain in the ass, youll want shocks/struts too.
Further mods could be changing the front indicators to clear, changing the tail lights to an imported set from Australia or maybe the Red/Clear/Red ones (I have the Red/Clear/Red tails - imported from the U.S - there's only 3-4 cars here in Australia that have them now) and they look great with the boot centrepiece.
You could change the bulb colours in the dash and HIVAC in the car... mine are blue now - looks awesome.
Retrim the door panels... did mine in matt black, freakin siiiicccc mate. If not, clear side indicators too...
There's a lot of stuff you can do to the car. That's a small part of what I've done to my car. Good luck mate
PS. My actual name is Shannon too... hahahaha!

May I suggest new rims? Once you have the rims on, you can then judge on how low you'd want to drop the car then and get the perfect height.
Oh yea i hate the orange, thats for sure on my to-do list. Yea i think ill do rims first before the lowering now..
How exactly is that done?..(goes to search) if no find ill respond and what is HIVAC?
are you talking about the front orange blinkers? or the one that goes where fender ports go?
1. Orange sucks, lol... might give it the JDM look... but naaaahhh
2. Changing the bulbs in the dash is easy enough, I believe if you look in the main FAQs at the top of the threads you'll see a section on how to replace the bulbs. HIVAC is aircon lights and all them in the middle of the dash between the driver and passenger. They're a nasty piece of work... not sure if there's a writeup about that though, gotta be clever with that stuff.
3. You can change the front indicators on the U.S ones at the fenders (front bumper guards right? that's what I know them as).. Ebay has replacement ones for the U.S ones I'm pretty sure, over here in Australia we have to custom make ours with 3mm clear perspex. Looks nice.
The side indicators are also called repeaters. I bought clear ones aftermarket from Autobarn (basically an Autoshop)... might be similar as your "Autozone" maybe? Autobarn here are more up with accessories compared to Supercheap and Repco over here though. You should be able to get direct replacements with the orange globes (to keep it legal), mine costed me around 30-40 bucks mate.
