3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I wouldn't imagine he'd laugh, I mean... you gotta get a figure first to know what the base number is!
But you can't appreciate every car for it's build and quality... I mean, look at Daewoo and Kia? Pffft
daewoo and kia? quality? they can't be said together
my dad rolled a hyundai on the highway
a tiny piece of black ice at a curve on the highway...a mercedes drove over it no problem, a honda drove over it no prob, he drove over it....3 flips into the ditch, all the wheels fell off. Thank god it was the company car and they bought a top trim car with side airbags. he walked out with only small bruises and a whiplash
Because i was expecting a pm for it you know im to lazy to use the search button!
and oh my goodness i am going to order some of these led strips no projecter retro yet may go ahead and purchase the parts then practice on my stock heads before i do the main heads

oh sorry, i forgot about that.
but yea, at least u see i took lots of pics but the LEDs aren't that blue
the exposure wasn't doing the color justice
and screw practicing....u learn better doing it straight...and also it takes so long to do a retro, u won't have time to do it twice cuz u'll just want to kill urself with the amount of work involved
I'd never laugh at a Camry that has the same colour, same retrofit, same year and dwells in the same city as mine...lol In fact, I am very eager to make EEng's car into another sleeper, and it would be hilarious when all the local car clubs/meets would be haunted by silver Camry's...ROFL
The Gen3 Camry has always been a car of quality.. Owning many cars and also working on many makes and models, I must say the mid 90's Toyotas are one of the best cars made of all times. From cars like the '94 Toyota Celica, the Supra, Camry, those cars (whenever I work on them, from wiring to interior, etc..) are made really well. Lots of attention to details (like plastic inserts at areas where metal screws contact the body, rolled edged metal near fender area, etc...). Many small things that I can't keep track of, but yet other cars do not have the same type of craftsmanship.

i can definitely agree to that. I even find my dad's 07 accord dumb when it comes to certain design details compared to the 94 camry. and newer hondas are pretty great already...i can't imagine ever buying a cheap USDM car cuz i just won't be able to take the interior quality and overall build quality. whoever designed the gen 3 camry really designed it with lots of thought and logic. i would like to find out who was the main designer one day
Here in Australia, they built the Gen 3 Camrys very well. Quite honestly, my car feels stronger and more well built than a friends Ford and another mate's Holden. Their stuff just doesn't have the same quality and design/craftsmanship like my Tourer.
I reckon the odd Gen 3 Sleeper that hides in the corners and comes outta nowhere would be AWESOME to see!
Cody, when you get the build done, I reckon you and Tony should hit the streets and watch the jaws drop on all the rice burner drivers... that'd be soooo good.
Greg's 3SGTE Gen 2, Dan's 3SGTE Gen 4 and Anthony's Supercharged Gen 4 really do turn heads here... so I'd imagine Gen 3s would be awesome to see as well
pretty much the same Numbers as mine. was it a stick or auto? and also, what gears was it set in when it was dyno? My Coupe is in the build for all motor. =)
