Hi Everyone, I`m a new member. I have a 1999 Camry V6 with 124000 kms. For some reason I can`t keep an tensioner upper idler pulley in the car. I`ve had the bearings fail in4 over the past 18 mos. The dealer can`t find anything wrong. He says the water pump, tensioner and belt are in great shape. However the last mechanic noticed there was a slight wobble in the belt which he says coulld be caused by a worn plate washer on the lower idler pulley.
He thinks this wobble could be putting pressure on the bearings. The dealer tells me he used genuine Toyota pulleys. Any thoughts would be appreciated. If I can`t cure this soon I`ll have to sell-it`s keeping me broke!
