3sgte head?

I keep hearing talk of a 3sgte head on a 5sfe and how awesome it is. What increases does it give? Does anyone have a parts list? How hard is it to do? Anyone done this on here before? I'm trying to keep it NA so that'd be perfect for a final power thing, anyone have info?

If for some reason that doesn't work out, what's the easiest way to add vvt to a 5sfe without an engine swap?

the only real reason to swap the 3sgte head is if your going to run boost. i have herd of some swaping teh 3sge head but for what reason i cant remember. i think it was convinance. someome liek richierichjp would know. also there is lots of info about it on MR2 and celica boards, since they deal with thoes motors alot.

someone correct me if im wrong but theres no possible, or at least reasonable, way to put vvt on a 5s...they never came with it. and the differance between the 5s and the 2az(first camry motor with vvti) are to great for a swap to be possible. your best bet would be to find somthing with more power, or work on your motor.

For VVT you'd likely be better off swapping in a whole BEAMS 3SGE or the likes.... And you'd still need to re-wire and have the correct ECU.

And read RichieRichJP's thread on making a 5SGTE
