Hey guys,
I hate to post a question but I did attempt to search first and found nothing.

I have a knocking/rattling sound from the driver's front strut plate.

How do I replace the plate/where is it? Does anyone have a DIY for it?

That's a common problem on the 97-99 Camrys. The strut plate is the top part of the strut assembly. You have to remove the strut assembly form the car and compress the spring and then take the assembly apart to remove the uppper strut plate. You will need a manual to show you how to do this. If you don't have one, you can download a Toyota factory service manual for free at the top of the Camry forum over at AutomotiveForums.com. Download the generation 4 manual. The procedure will be in the suspension section.

This sounds like a lot of work that I don't have the time/tools/place to do it at.

I think I'll just live with the rattle, haha.
