Cold air intake?

I have a 3.5 gen Camry LE v6, What would be the best cold air intake for it around the price of $50.00? A link would be good or just the product name.

Please & Thanks

Hahaha, you can get a ram air intake for $40 from ebay, but your best bet for cold air is just custom building one.

sorry man...but there is only one CAI(AEM) for the 1mz and its about 250+ bucks. most of us just build one or settle for a SRI which, on an NA motor, is just as good.

I found the SRI sucked alot of hot air once the engine warmed, and the Coupe just didn't seem as responsive on the low end to me.

ASG14 last week, fabricated a CAI for the car and it seems so far, to have cured that problem. Should have went COLD from the get go!

I believe he said it cost about $100 for all the parts and pieces. Here's pics!

From this SRI

to this CAI

BOTH SOUND GREAT BTW!!

it's one of the easiest performance upgrades ever man!

-Find your throttle body
-Snap off all of the stock stuff
-Replace with aftermarket stuff
-Either SRI it like Eyeballs first setup or CAI it like his second!

With the v6 you'll need a MAF adapter plate, and then the clamps and tubes and a filter!

If only you knew man, haha. I don't know what SRI or CAI is... or a MAF adapter plate, the list is never ending, thanks anyways.

SRI= Short Ram Intake - Pod filter sits in engine bay
CAI= Cold Air Intake - Filter sits somewhere outside the bay, drawing cold air.

It's actually an AFM (Air Flow Meter) and it's that box-like thing sitting somewhere along the intake piping. Usually right after the airbox.

Here's a pic of the AFM(by the strut tower) and a CAI on a gen 2 Camry (not mine)

On the v6 it is called a MAF (mass air flow sensor).

Don't want to confuse the poor guy

I'm sure they could, but they'd probably charge you A LOT of money for something that yields small results.
