4th Generation Kyb rear strut mount fitting issue

I tried to install rear tokico strut with kyb rear strut mount. Kyb strut mount comes with a built in dirt boot. When I put the Kyb mount on the strut shaft, and try to screw the nut on, I have extra space. Here're the pictures.

The red line is where the extra space the nut won't cover, which means the mount won't be able to stay on shaft safely. Did anyone run into this problem before? I didn't have the problem witht the fronts and my dad's 96. I checked the part number, and everything seems to be correct. The problem seem to be the metal part in the middle is not thick enough

No, I didn't come with a spacer. I managed to get one. So everything is installed now. Thanks! KYB didn't even make the spacer for it. I checked out the monro, and they come with it.

...that sucks. I was planning on getting KYB mounts when I replace my struts, but I guess I'll go with Monroe instead. Thanks for the info.

You can check your local NAPA. They may carry the Monroe Reflex under their own brand name. This is a better strut that's phasing out the older SensaTrac. I just don't care about the SensaTrac with a cut ("grooved") in the piston rod.

Another one for typical driving may be the Gabriel Ultra, 2002 (03?) Popular Mechanics Editor's Choice for it's multi-stage inertia sensitive valving.

I know they're cheap but personally I'd stay away from Keep Your Bilsteins.

However, all struts should have lifetime warranty.

Just checked the Monroe e-Catalog. No, Reflex isn't available yet for this model.

This is the problem with the kyb strut mount guys, not the strut itself.
Extra infor:
The tokico strut + h&r spring is too soft for me. I should've go with bilstein. This is the comparision between ksport coilover and tokico h&r combo. I hate the ride height is kinda suck. I hate the wheel gap in the front. Hopefully, it will settle downn atleast an inch.

I'm having the same problem as we speak. I have on stock strut mount and one kyb. I'm guessing that space is causing the LOUD clunking right now. Should i put the stock one back on?!

If you still have the collar from the stock mount, I'd just re-use that collar with the KYB mount.
You won't have to take it all apart again; don't jack up the car and just remove the piston nut, put the collar in, and then the piston nut back on.
