4th Generation Speaker Wire

So I have a 1999 camry LE (gen 4) and was wondering what the stock speaker wire gauge (And anything aelse about the wires) were. I am not replacing all the wires, just splicing new ones in for my components until I get an amp. I heard from a friend of mine who used to work on PA systems that having the wrong wires or mismatched wires can mess up the internal amp so I would prefer to keep my head unit in shape

Thanks

I'd just be using normal 18 gauge cable... I doubt you'd have an issue with stuffing up your speakers.

With your component speakers... front door right? Doesn't the speakers come with their own cable for the tweeters?? They're normally only 18-20 gauge anyway. The internal "amp" off the HU barely produces enough power to make a difference on cable size anyway. Sounds like he's being a tad too pedantic and got you worried over nothing at all mate.
