Eventful weekend for my '99 Gen 4.

So the past 72 have been anything but fun. First my car got "love scraped" in a parking lot. Nothing too horrid mostly just surface paint dust trade. THen I proceeded to get shot at with a .45 ACP hollow point ammo in the wonderful downtown ghetto of my fair city, that thankfully didn't penetrate to threating depths. The next day my starter motor's bendix (sp?) gear stuck itself in the flywheel at start up and got burnt up 1.5 miles from my house. Had to go drop some money to fix that ASAP and spent 35 min total on the swap out. Then today I was inches away from being safe at work in the other ghetto I work in of my wonderful city and I got blasted in a rear ender accident. Had my blinker on long enough ( I thought) brake lights should have been bright enough ( I would have thought) and as I was turning I happend to look up and had enough time to think two letters F and U...couldnt get the last two letters out out let alone "this is going to hurt". Spent 2 hours + in the ER after calling 911 b/c I felt like I was on fire I hurt so intensley. By God's awesome grace I don't have to see the world from a sitting position for the rest of my life. Nothing broken just soft tissue damage....extremities are painful and neck and low back are very painful even on Vicadin (SP?) and a slew of other medicines. So thoroughly un fun, shame this has to be my first post back on the nation in a very long time.

Take care and be safe all. I'll letcha know when I can get back behind the wheel again and what all I have to get done.

Gees mate... sounds like you had one hell of a weekend! People SHOOT at you??? WHAT THE HELL!?!? That kind of stuff ends up on front page news here in Australia.

Not too good to hear about going into the Hospital... why they send you to the ER? You still pretty banged up? Can you walk and stuff? Wowsers... sounds like something off a Hollywood Blockbuster

Good to see you're alive and kickin' mate - be positive... things will work out mate

Wow that's quite the story you have there! Hey, on the bright side, at least you get to walk away from all of this. Like Camricer said, the car is replaceable, you aren't. If you don't mind me asking, where exactly did all of this happen!? I live about 20 miles away from detroit city limits and I've never heard such a story!

I'm glad to hear you're doing alright (besides the current pains that are running through your body). I guess those bullet holes really don't matter anymore.

Sounds like definitely something that'd make news headlines here..

You on medication? I'd be hitting up the Panadeine Forte or something "nice" like that.
