4th Generation 1999 4 cyl 5speed clutch slipping HELP!!

Hi this is my first post but I come looking for any incite or knowledge to the situation that I happen to be in. I have a 1999 Toyota Camry 4 Cyl 5speed 90k miles.Just today out of no where my clutch started slipping very badly. I would compress the clutch and my release felt sluggish. The clutch wouldn't engage until the end of the throw out. I was able to get it up to speed ( I was stranded) but if I gave it to much gas it would slip and free rev a little. This car is my dd and i need it up back and running as soon as possible.
I think it may be some kind of adjustment issue But i dont know how to check. I took a look under the hood and my dad seems to think it may be the slave cylinder that needs replacing, But we don't really know. The gear shift moves just the same and in and out of every gear is clean and smooth. I have always worked on my own cars but have never had a clutch problem. Is the repair possible for 2 mechanically skilled people? Thanks ahead of time for any info

-Willie

Well, you could try bleeding the system and re-adjusting the pedal to see if that makes a difference. You said the engagement moved, so adjusting the pedal would definitely be worth a try before anything/

Otherwise, i think your clutch is near/at the end of it's life. You said it's done 90k miles? I assume that's still on the factory clutch and that seems about right for a clutch's lifespan.
