Replace inner tie rod ends or the whole rack?

Hi,

My inner tie rod ends are bad on both sides. I wonder whether I should just get the whole steering assembly with lifetime warranty from Advanced for $180, instead of trying to replace just the ends. I assume that lifetime warranty means that I can replace it in the future if inner tie rod ends go bad again or for any other reason, right?

Anyone had bad experience with A-1 Cardone rebuild steering rack?

How long can an original rack last (seals and etc) before requiring a rebuild. Mine has already 110K on it.

Thanks

I installed the Cardone rack 6 mos ago. It had about 110-115k when the seal started leaking on the right side. search the forums for some tips if you do it yourself. My steering wheel was off some but easily fixed by and alignment. I saw one tip that would have minimized that I I had read it before doing the job.

Just have to make sure the lifetime warranty covers replacements, and not just manufacturer's defects!

you mean the original rack started leaking at 110k? What was the tip? I pan to use Haynes instructions.
