3rd Generation Custom Scepter Panel

three days of sanding, primer, sanding, paint, sand, paint. lettering. i have came up with this. what do you all think?..my friends think it looks good, but my wifey on the other hand thinks i put the letters too close together and that i should have spaced them more out. i finished it off with some turtle wax clear coat stuff. dono if i should get some good clearcoat and spray it. LMK

after i figure out if i like it or not i plan on getting some testors candy apple and hitting up the orange side blinker

I like it. IMO it would look better color matched with the car, but that's just me.
But you did a really nice job with it. I've seen some that have been painted and look like garbage.
Good job!

Not bad, but I side with your wife. Would have looked better with slightly bigger letters, spaced farther apart.

I thought about doing something similar to this, i made a thread about it a while ago idk where it is now, but im sure a search would find it. Anyway, i found these letters

http://www.premiumchromes.com/

I was gonna use the CHR06 style

which at the time were $1.95 each

not being a fan of the whole idea anyways(not that it matters), i think you need to space the letters out. thats how they are on the real scepter pannels. other then that you did a good job.

edit: on a closer look. you should lower the letters a little to center them in the panel and get an even coat of paint/clearcoat on there as well. not trying to be harsh, just trying to help...cept that first sentence...that was a little harsh.

...thoes are painted on letters.

i almost want to give that thing back so you can frame it for over the model case. you and the shop did such a perfect job with it. i find myself TRYING to find flaws in the lettering and cant. i wont even use a presurized sprayer on that pannel when i wash it because im afraid ill mess somthing up.

It is not going to look better with letter spread out it will just give more tacky look.
