engine temp.

on my engine temp. gauge the needle usually points in the middle between the c and h but the past few days it will be pointing there and then it will suddenly drop to the c and stay there....is this a thormasstat issue if so how do you change it on a 1995 toyota camry le 4i

that sounds like a coolant temp sensor problem(thats not tripping a code) or a gauge problem. thermostat is a possibility but the car wont cool all the way back down if the thrmostat stays open.

personally i have no idea. never looked for it on the I4.

i want to say back side under the distro, but i know on the 6 is near the top rad hose.
