3rd Generation Suspension Help(as well as poss turbo help??)

Hey guys, new member here, goin to pick up my 92 camry sunday and i cant wait(ps im a t-ten certified tech), now as far as the tech of it all goes, i have that down, i just wanted to get some opinions. Im trying to decided btw either a spring/strut set up, or a full coilover system, i cant really decide which one, i want some good handling, and a nice ride height(read lowered), but cant really decide if a spring/strut kit will handle what i wanna throw its way, which mainly is some good daily driving and some SCCA hi jinks possibly along w/some street hi jinks. Im LEANIN twoard the spring/strut but i just wanted to get the word from the butchers mouth about how it handles etc. I plan to run wheels no bigger than 17s at the max, and some 50 or so series tires(maaayyyybe 45s, gotta see how it looks lowered w/stock shoes first). Anywho, what in the general consensus is the best spring/strut setup out there? Im not afraid of a harsh ride seeing as my daily drive to good ole hendrick toyota is ALLLL nice new highway, and charlotte doesnt really have any rough roads anymore. So that knocks that one out, second is ive been calcumilatin some mathemetatical compumitations in muh head, and the way i see it on a stock headgasket the most i could run a turbo 5fste would be about 5-8 psi daily drive MAX(more twoards the lower). I plan on puttin in some arp head studs along w/some bigger injectors, fuel pump, rail, intercooler, custom piping(gotta love the fact that my friend goes to school at UNCC for race engineering, full access to all sorts of cnc and cad goodies), custom exhaust, prob 2.5 or so, and a stand alone ECM(now this turbo wont be until farther down the road, i just wanna enjoy gettin back into the 4 door mafia as a ex-wrx owner), so, with all that said and done(cause i wont put a single bit of it on until i have it all sitting in my bay ready to get thrown on at once in a big haze of air tools, ratchets, drills and cursing, along with cutting up, lol) what would be the max psi to run safely daily driver wise?? Jussst wondering the general consensus, i just want somethin fun to possibly suprise a few souls but mainly just cruise(this gettin older sh it DOES take its toll on your need for speed vs comfort), any and all opinions appreciated! Thanks guys! CHEERS!

1. welcome

2. it makes it a little easier to read if ya space your post out a little.

3. searching these topics will yeild more anwsers then we could in one thread so id start there.

but ill throw ya a little bone. if you want the best handeling and are willing to sacrifice ride comfort...coilovers. if not then a good spring strut will do a fine job(H&R/tokicos are a good choice). heres a good over view of the suspension options avalible for the cam.

Gen 3 Suspension Options

for your turbo questions...read the "how to turbo the 5sfe" sticky at the top of the page...lots of good info. but a word to the wise, unless you have a manual...dont waste your time. if ya do then go for it but the HG wont be your biggest worry.
