Subwoofers under front seats

I love the vibrations on my backseat from the 10'' in my trunk, but they are almost completely absent from the front seats. i was thinking about putting a couple cheap shallow mounts under the front seats.

anyone done this/thought about it? thanks

What a neat idea. Sort of like a super-vibrating chair.
Are you ticklish. Could be distracting while driving.
It will have to be carefully mounted to allow seat adjustment.
How many watts will these subs require?

there isnt much room at all under there. you could do it if you wanted too but if you actually want strong bass to feel in your chair and watch all your mirrors shake spend some money and get the good stuff. id sugest http://www.audioque.com/aq/HDCSeries.htm the hdc3 series and the 1200d amp. just one will make your camry rattle like your in an earthquake. if you wanna take the cheap route get some small shallow boxs and some cheap sonys and try that out lol

thats alot of work to get some vibrations under your ass. why not jsut get a vibrator and wedge it in the space between the backrest and the seat bottom.

in all seriousness and despensing with the rest of my thoughts about this question...it can be done i guess.

id think somthing small like an 8" would be fine. youd likely have to build a box but thats not real hard...jsut make sure you look for the compact woffers(think thats what they are called) or somthign as narrow as possible.

ON and you HAVE to put on under each seat if your doin this. im sure any lady friends along for the ride would...enjoy it.

I used Aura Audio Bass Shakers. They shake whatever they're mounted to in time with the bass notes. They're 6" diameter, and about 2" thick, and require only 50 watts each. All you'll need is a cheap 100w 2ch amp, and you're set. I mounted mine right to the under side of the front seats, so they don't take up floor space. They shake pretty good. Best part is I still have space under the front seats, so it's like they're not even there.

This is exactly what I have...

Here's a set on ebay...

Yup, Bass Shakers are the way to go when money is short. I had Bass Shakers long before I had a sub. Now I'm running both. lol
