Tires

Well, I really want to get cheap, good tires.
- well who doesn't?

I want Dunlops back on my Camry.
When 2009 started my Camry was sitting on some nice A/S Dunlops, had my AA Traction rating, and I was happy.
Then when I brought the Camry in for an inspection, "they" said that my front tire was faulty with an uneven wear pattern, sigh.
All they had was some Kenda Junk. I needed it & I got it replaced. I was like, hey I'll switch to my Dunlop spare. Well, a huge screw went through my other Dunlop, & it tore the tire apart. To be safe I put back on the Kenda, and I don't like driving without a spare, so I had to buy a decent Cooper with a A traction rating to hold down as a spare. So, the two rear and the drivers side were matching Dunlops, and one out of place Kenda. It was time for new tires in the rear, and well both Dunlops had to go as I was in FL with my Camry, I need a CV Joint replaced, so it went to the dealership sadly. All they had was bottom of the barrell SIGMA SHADOWS. I never even heard of them. The grip sucks, they look ugly.

I really dont know if its a good investment to replace all four tires, but this is the first time I ever had this experience with different tires on one vehicle.

I have a Dunlop fetish, and well, where can I get them for cheap, if it is indeed the best choice, mind you all tires shitty or not have around 90% thread left.

Thanks!

BTW stock steelies FTW! ... 195/70/R14

what price range should I be looking at?

I'm a fan of BFGoodrich. I just got a set of BFGoodrich Traction T/A's from discount tire for 370 bucks installed, tax included. I got it during the 70 dollar rebate promotion.

So far they've been great. We use Goodrich on all our cars and we live in Chicago. The handling and traction is phenomenal.
