2000 Camry LE - Parking Brake Lever Button Broken!

I have a 2000 Camry LE. I was reaching in to the car from the passenger side and the palm of my hand hit the end of the E-brake lever. This caused the actuator button to break off the top of it!

Is there an easy way to repair this? Can I just replace the button or do I have to replace the whole lever (i.e. can the lever itself be disassembled)? If so, do I have to remove the whole center console to get to it?

Thanks in advance!

Download your repair manual from www.camrystuff.com

I hope you will be able to see the entire assembly there and then make a decision.

Good luck,

Sam

Hahaha - thanks for the help on moving this one to the right forum. I took a look at the online repair manuals - not much there but I did see the illustration. I will try to take the console out this week sometime and see what I'm dealing with. Looks like it's going to be easier to just replace the whole lever if I can find one.

Thanks!

Just a heads up Sam, Firefox blocked that site for me. Says it's a reported attack site.

Can you verify it's safe? O_o
