Canada Camry 93 V6: Error code 55 missing from error code lists?

I started getting error code 55 and all lists of codes I know of have it missing - doesn't exist... Any ideas? I get it every time I drive now. Thanks for any lead on this.

I will re-check. The only explanation I would have is that there were 2 codes "5" and another "5". I will align the blinking decoder in my brain with another fault artificially introduced, such as mass airflow sensor disconnected. Thanks, chronoti, for your interest. Somewhat, it might be plausible since my mechanic might have messed around the O2 sensor area (which would be code "5") when he replaced my thermostat... or, it is just a coincidence and my O2 is now detected as bad when cooling system works correctly... who knows?

One more question: Is there an easy way to determine O2 cycling just by watching the Ox1, Ox2 pins with an analog voltmeter? I couldn't find any recipes to do that. I will try my old corolla book to see if they have a blurb on that - it should be the same, I think...?

Attaching the mysterious code 55 (image of an audio recording while I whistled during the lamp blinking) You can see that the gap between the first 5 and the second 5 is about 1.8s which is the same as the separator between the 2 and 4 (code24) and 3and 1 (code31) . It is also possible that there is a BUG in the Diagnostic firmware which makes it appear as code 55 but in fact are two separate code 5s.

I will erase all and try to "get only one "5" if I can.

Thanks, abew330. How do you measure it? Against ground?

It does look like Code 55 !

Ok. I erased the codes,
1) Started with cold engine, drove 2km = No Codes.
2) Started engine again, got it to temp by idling 10 mins = No Codes
3) Drivig the car 100 m = Engine Light turns ON.
Stopped within 5 sec. Read the error codes: 5 blinks over 4.5 sec, 1.5 sec pause, 5 blinks over 4.5sec, 4.5sec pause and repeat the above. (+/- 0.3sec or so)
4) Started the engine again = Engine Light stays OFF but it will come ON again I have seen it do that before.

Thanks, luvlexus101, Do you have a list that would apply to my 93 camry v6 with 3VZFE, that includes error code 55? Do you know where knock sensor #2 is exactly located?
Thanks,
JE

Sorry I didn't make myself clear: I deliberately caused the 24 and 31 (MAF disconnected) to have a reference to see how big blinking gaps are between the 2 and 4, 3 and 1 and if it is the same as between the 5 and 5. The code 55 is the only error I am getting now.

Thanks. luvlexus101 for the lead. I found this thread Fooling the ECM - sharing 1 good knock sensor for 2 ECM inputs which appears to be my case. I am still puzzled though why code 55 cannot be found in the standard toyota error code lists ... ?
