Another Gen 3 gone

Last Friday, a 6 foot water main popped and my car was under 2-3 feet of water: http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/mar...,5042003.story

I'll post a pic of the car, if it ever gets from my phone to my photobucket account :/

At its worst, the tires were not visible and the trim midway up the door was also out of sight.

94 LE, 240k miles and easily gonna get over 300k. Geico gave me ~$2k and I'm staying in the Toyota family with a 2001 Celica

If anyone in the northeast/Baltimore area is eyeing a 4-door silver 94 LE, check for water damage

I'm sorry for your loss.
That really sucks, and I hope you can find another vehicle that will be just as good.
Good luck.

Props to the Celica purchase!
I love Gen 3's to death though.
Sorry for your loss.

What kind of Celica? GT or GTS?

GT- just the base model, but perfect for me since I'm still a beginner as far as engine mechanics go. At least I can reasonably expect a real gain in hp when I do a CAI, unlike the Camry (okay- 3-4 hp from what I've read :p)

Visual mods/upgrades are more realistic, too. While I wanted to get my Camry over 300k miles, my budget was entirely mechanical. The first thing after I clean up the interior will be a grill for the lower portion of the bumper, which looks really easy, and then light covers, antenna, maybe even a decent set of wheels

My wife said she's never seen me in a car "so you" before
