Loud squeak from rear of car

Sorry I'm on my iPod so I can't search. But it has been raining for the past week and just yesterday, while it raining, my bmw started making a loud squeak coming from the rear. I'm thinking that the rear brakes are just wet, but I wasn't sure because I've neverhad rear disks before.
I do understand that this is a toyota forum, but the guys on the bmw forum are pricks, and quite frankly, I like you all better

Need a little bit more info first. Is it only when you hit the brakes? With what intensity and at what speed?

Is it when you hit a bump, like going over a speed bump at moderate speed?

Disc brakes do tend to make more noise when it's humid out, but that usually goes away within a couple miles of driving. Depending on what speed you hear the noise, it could be evidence of cracked pads due to a combination of water/chemicals on the brake surfaces and hard driving. Also how big a lip have you developed on the rotors? I know BMWs have 'soft' rotors, and the pad squeezing into the channel created in the rotor can cause chattering or squealing, especially if the hardware is fatigued.

But it has been almost two years since i've had to touch a beemer, so I couldn't really help with a suspension diagnosis.

problem solved. The brakes were just wet. The pads are metallic (cheap) so I'm assuming that made them squeak a bit more.
Sorry, I've never had experience with rear disk brakes before so the noise was new to me, and my friend scared me with the thought of it being the u-joint going bad.
Thanks for putting up with a beamer lol
