Ok I haven't drive the Cam in a week due to bent wheels so it just sat in the yard with the alarm not armed but the doors were locked. I decided to take it for a little spin one day and I manually unlocked the door through the lock cylinder to open the door instead of using the remote. Dome and door lights came on ok went to turn it on I didn't didn't get anything and there was still some power to it. Tried it again... didn't work the second time on the third time I tried it I always had a problem with the rear driver side window not working. Well that day I never did get it to turn but when I had it on ACC the window started working
I don't know what caused the power drain but I did jump it off and the car back on at the end of the day the window stopped working??? I'm not worried about the battery being almost dead I just wanna know what would make the window stop working when I got full power back and another thing is what would cause the battery to go dead if the alarm wasn't armed I mean would it still be active? Oh yeah I have the Python 871XP unit if that helps.

Hey! It ain't much to beat the block down, but it'll work for now...
Could be as simple as you not closing a door all the way, or a sensor switch stuck in the "open" position keeping one of the dome lights on, or possibly even the glove compartment.

Do you have a stereo? You do!? There you go...it has to draw power directly from the battery for it's memory. Factory stereo or not, it will drain the battery dead if you let the car sit long enough.

well the radio would explain why the battery almost dying, but could anyone explain the situation about the window or is that just one of those days... I know it couldn't be the window regulator now if some power was going through it

could just be a fluke. window motor could be overheating itself after very limited use which is how most motors fail. since you hadn't used the motor in forever, it wasn't hot, and when you use it, it got hot and locked up again.
i say once you get the battery drain problem cured, replace that window motor.

the regulator is NOT the same thing as the motor, though sometimes they are sold as a set. the regulator is the actual gears/track/cable unit that directly attaches to the glass. the motor is just that - only the motor and a gear to turn part of the regulator.

well it happened again last night this time I did notice some blinking when I turn on the HU the window started working I'm going to still check it out anyway to see if the motor is overheating hopefully that won't be the issue
