Why won't my 92 camry start? Please help!

I have a 92 Camry 4cyl it shut off and would not start just kept cranking. We towed it home, fuel pump is good, timing belt is moving when cranking, no spark and the fans ran non stop when the key was off until the battery went dead. I changed the coil and it started. Drove it a few miles and it died again. Changed the main engine relay today still no start, but the fans finally shut off. Whats the deal? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I changed the cap and rotor when I changed the coil It could use a fuel filter, but that wouldn't explain no spark.

3rd Generation check the igniter

Something similar to this happened to me many years ago when my '92 had about 140,000. It ended up being the igniter. No spark makes me believe this might be at least a part of the problem.

Harv knows that of which he speaks...

The fans not shutting off would make me take a second look at the ignition circuits though. Could be some electrical gremlins running around in there.

Is there any way to test the igniter? Cause the cheapest one I found was $185.
