Setting engine timing on camry with 4cyl

everytime i try to search the forum, it gives me some error about exceeding memory size. maybe something needs to be restarted, but i digress...

is there anything to do to set the engine timing on an 2001 camry with the 4-cyl engine? i just replaced the timing belt, acc belts, etc. and i'm ready for the 'smoke test'. gathering from what i read, there is nothing to do - it is all controlled electronically.

is this right?

thanks
-jc

The ignition timing on your 2001 Camry is all handled by the computer. The car does not have a distributor, and the computer reads from a carnkshaft and possibly a camshaft sensor, which does not have any adjustment.

^ What belrancho said. Just an FYI. The older version of the 4 cylinder 5SFE engine used on the 92-96 Camry had a distributor, so timing was adjustable on those engines.
