could anyone give me a short diy of what i need and how to mount the taurus lip please? Bigbird? joe? lol I got it in ups last night (Thanks lynch!) and painted it black today. I toyed around with some ideas but got nothing. Really didn't want to drill... just curious what u guys did.
Chris
I like the idea of christmas snaps that joe used but where did you get them sir?
Just shoot me some ideas please I know yall are always there for me
LOL...I bought the Xmas tree clips at Napa! Try to clamp the lip on it on where you want it to be. Having someone to help ya would be a good idea too.
I suggest mounting the corners first to align it to the edges of the bumper. Then it just drill and push in the clips. I made the holes for the clips quite a bit smaller so they would hold better, and used large channel lock pliers, to help push them in!
If you can, remove the bumper cover to install it thats your best bet. Thats the way birds was mounted. I re-mounted the 96's lip when ASG14 visited and removed the cover to do the intake. Its just easier that way!
The original install on the 96 was done at my mechanics, and I used a lift.
Good Luck, and be sure to post pics when your done.

what about FLIP K1DD?? i heard he gots one on too..just since his car isnt as nice as Eyeball or Bigbirds doesnt mean he cant help!
i think its best to drill it in..at least then youll know for sure it aint gonna fall off
anyways, i asked him how he put his on and all he used was a drill, self tapping scres, and 3m double sided tape. he taped the lip up so it will stay all by itself and used the holes that were already on the lip to screw into the bumper. dont forget to line up the edges with the end of the wheel well for a flush look
sweet deal ill go out in a lil to get some self tap screws and 3m tape sorry about not mentioning you sir. just spur of the moment and wanted to get it on. btw everyone be expecting a pretty exciting thread from me tomarrow with 2 updates with the front lip and a new unexpected goodie
i had originaly done this with bolts so i could easily remove it if needed. but these clips Joe installed hold on just fine....even at speeds well over 100. definatly have one or 2 people help with getting it fit right. it halped me to actually tape the thing in place and then mark the holes for drilling.
K well I'm going to bolt or self tap I bought both. Attempted to do it tonight with 2. Ppl but imma do it tmw to get better light. It's alot more interesting to line up then I thought it would be. Haha
well i bought screws and washers. so i guess i have to hold the lip up and dot where i will drill? then drills holes and i guess hand screw lip in? cause the bottom of lip goes over holes and blocks drill. I think when i get time today imma go look for some body clips at advanced.
yea drill the holes first then screw it in place..that would be a small ass DIY though for this haha. i dont even think its worthy to have a DIY. it'd be like 3 sentences; 1) line up 2) drill holes 3) screw in. :]
what about FLIP K1DD?? i heard he gots one on too..just since his car isnt as nice as Eyeball or Bigbirds doesnt mean he cant help!
and youre welcome flip.
