As we all know, some of our Gen 4 have automatic day time running lights. We can disable this by going under the hood and disconnecting a plug for the DRLs and they wont turn on. But i drove a friends Gen 1 Solara and my moms Gen 5 Camry and saw that they have a switch to control the DRLs. I was wondering if, the DRL box/computer whatever is it can be transfer into my GEN4?

If not anyone here good with electrical wiring diagrams, because i want to tap into my DRL system to have a switch/or connect to angel lights im going to be installing in my retrofit...

well no. it just a relay in the car that sends low voltage to the bulb when the key turned to on. you could just wire a switch from that wire you need to disconnect and do it that way.

I know on most GM's that have DRL there is a relay to switch the lamps on. Check for a DRL relay. I have one on Saturn VUE and I removed it.

adn what about the DRL switch in the gen 1 solara's and gen 5 camrys can they be transferred over
