No heat!!!!

ok this is the weirdest thing to ever happened to my car. Now here in the east side of USA CT is getting a bit cold and as of last week i stop having heat in my car. I already exchange the thermostat and also drained the AC coolant. But still no heat. Now let me break it down so everyone can understand how much heat i get depends on settings. If i have it just as FEET its about 65% no more than that, if is just as BODY is about 65%, if is both FEET and BODY cold just cold. If its FEET and WINDSHIELD 65% and if is just WINDSHIELD is cold. Now when i have it just at WINDSHIELD my AC light goes on too, it looks like if is stuck and i cant turn it off, no matter how much i push the button to turn it off it wont go off, but at any other setting i have control of it. Now there is truly no warmth coming into my car. And i do not know what else to do. Any suggestion, and by the way my car is not overheating, after the thermostat change the temperature of the vehicle is always at center as it should be.

I have a 98 Toyota Camry 4cylinders LE

The windshield setting with some models AC always comes on. No choice with that.

Check your model selection damper (windshield, face vent, floor vent, etc). Is air directed to the correct places? And the velocity? Does sound like a damper isn't working properly.

I'd also check the heat core coolant valve. it may be stuck or the cable isn't opening it fully.

i would suggest reverse flushing out the heater core. it could be partially blocked. you can disconnect the lines where they connect through the firewall and hold up a garden hose. you might be surprised how much junk can build up in the heater core. hey, its cheap and fairly quick to check.

@ JohnGD

yea the damper are set on the right location, and just so you know at LOW i get barely any air but it makes sense but when is blasting HIGH thats when i feel some warmth otherwise there is no warmth coming in. And again is not warmth enough to feel it, its about feeling a tempareture of 65c nothing more.

I did hear about the heat core valve, how can i located? are the near the AC valve where it will be fill whenever i have no AC, or where exactly? sorry for sounding dumb, but thanks for the help everyone

@ghettosled

When u mean hold up a garden hose, u mean like i connect it to and i start blowing at it or just once its connected to a hose it will flush out by itself? yea n i like cheap methods right now economy is hard.
