Just started using the heat as it's getting quite cold in Chicago and I noticed something in my car.

I let the car warm up before even touching the dial. When the temp is almost at halfway I crank it to the second speed on the hottest settings. Almost immediately the car starts shaking. It's not in intense shake, but I can feel it in my butt and on the steering wheel. When I turn the heat off it persists for a minute or two, then stops. It'll do it continuously as long as I have the heat on.

Ideas?

Edit: My dog bone mount is worn, by the way. If that has anything to do with it.

um, is your coolant level good? last time since you changed your coolant? will it shake at half way? the heater coil maybe clogged.

Coolant level is good. Coolant was changed less than 1,000 miles ago with a Timing Belt change.

Karl,

Just a hunch here. Is the A/C button engaged when you are turning on the heat? Did the A/C work in warm weather? I'm just guessing that if the A/C button is engaged it is turning on when the fan is turned on, and your idle up circuit to compensate for the extra load of the A/C may not be functioning properly.

Nope, the AC button is not pushed in.

i would look at the heater coil is clogged, remove the hoses going to the heater and hook a hose up to them and try to flush it out
