affordable but what is it? HID question

Hi i know i am slow catching on. I know there is a difference but dont know what the exact difference is. WHAT ARE DEPO's? is it the brand of headlight? is it a different design on the lens? I have been reading alot of posts about upgrading to HID. i didnt know until recently you could actually upgrade without installing projectors . or atleast that is what i think i read. I know there are some DIY's on how to do them, but would like some info on what the components do.

do the little HID conversion lamps/bulb/whatever its called just go into same hole as the old lamps do? or you always have to cut holes?

brand, yes they make the clear lenses for our cars.

YOU NEED TO HAVE PROJECTORS.

seriously you can buy a kit that have adapted base but.

you WILL BLIND ALL TRAFFIC IF YOU DON'T HAVE PROJECTORS

and the projectors have to be made for hid's

why??????

remember in high school algebra learning about parabolas?

here the same concept again if the foci is moved then it will not reflect correctly causing you to blind people.

i'm not yelling at you but it drives me crazy when people do this.

as said above...if you want to do this legal and with out blinding people then you want projector headlights to run HIDs. but others have done it and claim that its not that bad. with the DEPOs it is...ive done it and didnt liek how the spread was EVERYWHERE and was almost dimmer then the OEM headlights because there was nothing but little hot spots.

^ this was my solution. ^

Depos are a brand and the only brand of clear headlights avalible for the gen3 and now 3.5s.
