4th Generation Fog Lights: Genuine Toyota Accessory?

I checked the 98 Camry owner's manual and there's no mention of fog lights.

1. Were fog lights available as a genuine Toyota accessory for the Gen 4 Camry?

2. If not, what brand/model is recommended to fit the Gen 4 and to also stand the test of time?

3. Is there a fog light on/off switch that will fit into one of the two dash knock-outs between the instrument panel dimmer control and the steering wheel (where the optional traction control system switch is placed)?

Thanks

Fog lights were an option for the 98 Camry, but had to be ordered when you ordered the car new from the factory or simply found one with the fog lights on a dealer's lot. When you got fog lights on the 98 you got a different lower front facia. It actually had round holes molded in to it to accomodate the fog lights.

Mike
Given that our car doesn't have the different lower front fascia for the original fog lights, is there a recommended brand/model that will fit the standard front fascia?

Thanks

IIRC, the bumper was the same, and the two round pieces were inserted and affixed with bolts or screws; that is they were not molded.

My previous vehicle where you can see the screws.

Thumbs up Thanks touringcamry

I appreciate the you posting the picture and the additional info.

I'll have to check if the original fog lights and round housings are available through Toyota parts or a local junkyard.
