As the title implies for some reason the running lights do not work on my Camry. The brake lights and headlights are fine but when i turn the head lights on at night the running lights don't work. Not sure if this is a fuse problem but any help would be appreciated.
When you say "running lights" do you mean the corners or the signals?
Sorry.. I'm not familiar with all of the terminology. I am referring to the bulbs that should either turn on or stay on while my headlights are on. Not the left/right marker or turn signal lights but possibly the brake lights? The brake light bulbs are fine (I've triple checked them) and the lights work when I press the brake pedal but when my head lights are on only my left/right marker lights are on. Not sure if there are separate bulbs but I haven't seen any while checking the brake lights. Hope this helps.. unfortunately I'm not a mechanic so the terminology is probably off a bit.
the brake light bulbs are dual filament. in other words, they are basically like two lights in one. one filament is to light the rear lights when you have your parking or headlights on, the other lights when you apply the brakes. its possible the filament to light for the parking/headlights is bad while the filament for when you apply the brakes is fine. i would start off by replacing the bulbs.
The only lights that light with the headlights are the corners beside the headlights....the ones in the bumper under the headlights are just signal lights. They don't light up with the headlights.

I had a similar problem recently, only with mine only my headlights, reverse lights, and turn signals worked. My side markers, tail lamps, license plate lamps, all were inoperative. The only thing that made me notice is my dash backlight went out at the same time. Turned out it was the headlight switch. Rather than buying a new one at over $100, I spliced a radio shack switch into the harness so I control the running lights independently from the headlights.
It would be easier to see a picture with arrows pointing to the lights that don't work.

I think the guy is saying his running lights are out.
That's the corner parking lamps in the front, and the secondary lights in the rear, that run on the dual filament bulbs, such as the brake lights themselves, and the rear corners, and also the license plate bulbs also should be on when the others are.

Bingo that's gotta be it! I'll see about getting the correct type of bulbs.. thanks everyone for your input!
Sorry to bring this back from the dead but I don't think my problem deserves a new thread altogether.
BirdBird you said that "The only lights that light with the headlights are the corners beside the headlights"
My corners aren't turning on at all, no matter what position my headlight switch is in. Does the car need to be on for the corners to turn on? Because I don't think either of mine work, could be bulbs burnt out..but I'd like hear opinions on what's wrong first.
