'99 Camry alarm goes off...

car alarm goes off on my '99 Camry XLL when any door is opened. i can shut off the alarm each time by turning the key to Access and pushing the override/valet button on the lower left panel, below the dash. i'm looking for a permanent solution, either fixing or disabling the alarm.
i have no keyless entry; key only. i believe it's after-market alarm - the horn doesn't go off, and the valet button is present... purchased the car used.

Disable it. You probably have to disconnect the whole alarm module from the car in case it has immobilizer.

See if you can get a fax back for the RS alarm installation manual. Shows you all the wires and steps you need to install a Toyota OEM alarm by Fujitsu-ten.

From http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/t96974.html

For anyone who needs the fujitsu 10 faxback number here it is:
310-327-9905
you will need a fax machine/number to recieve fax back from them.
Hopefully this information helps

thanks John. can you tell me where the alarms are typically located? i want to make sure i get the right model number. it's not under the seat, which some people have mentioned. behind the left front kick panel? (that's where the override button is.)
