Coilovers for gen4

Hi I have a 97 v6 camry that i've been modding for a while. As most of you know, thefender gap after getting wheels is hideous.

Im in the process of saving up money and i want to lower it, but im afraid of ending up with a raked dropped.

Instead of getting tokicos and decent springs im thinking about coilovers. I want to slam it... I dont want a 1.5 inch drop that most springs have. And I have a feeling those cheap sprint and dropzone springs will give me an uneven drop.

Now my question is..

-Is it worth dropping a grand into coilovers?

-Do i need coilovers to get a slammed, level (even) drop?

-Which is better D2 or Ksport?

If anyone has pictures of a gen4 camry on coilovers that would be awesome!

Yes, it's worth dropping a grand into coilovers

yes, you need coils to get a low, even drop. TEINs, Intrax, Dropzone, Tenzos all give raked stances. Not sure about H&R. Eibachs give the most almost even drop but it's only about an inch.

D2s are cheaper than KSport. Choose wisely.

There is a thread on this actually. For your purposes, I would say go for some nice coilovers. Yes they are worth it (depending on which ones you choose). If you have a little more to spend than a grand, I'd go with the Tein SS rather than the Ksport or D2's. You can slam the car down to your liking. And there was one member with a gen4 that was slammed on Ksports but I forgot his name on here. Only other ways to slam the car is by cutting springs or bagging it, but coilovers are the way to go.

Man... if we were able to install coilovers here for 1k, everyone would have them! Coilovers to SUPPLY ONLY are at least 1700 bucks. Add install and alignment... around 2k or thereabouts.

Go coilovers mate - they're well and truly worth it.
