New to forum and came with a problem

My problem is with the ABS system on my wife's 97 Camry. I did a search on ABS and did not come across my mistake. Here's a rundown of my disaster. I just finished installing new rear struts in her baby. I must have goofed up real bad on the second side. First side went 100%ok. Test drive and clunk was gone. Proceed to second side. When the strut dropped out of the upper bracket it fell too far and stressed the ABS sensor tube. It did not look damaged. However after the install, the ABS light on the dash will not go out. Am I hooped. Have I ruined the entire ABS. Or can I just replace the sensor on the side I stressed???? No doubt a trip to the dealer will come with a $500 buck admission fee. No idea where to turn or where to begin.

Any ideas or opinions are both welcome and very very appreciated.

Sometimes it's just the cable that's dodgy after all the time in it's life. I remember getting the outer CV joints replaced on my car and ended up having a problem with the ABS light coming up. It could be just as simple as replacing the cable or possibly the sensor as well.

Well it's time to visit the dealer

Could not find a single used one anywhere in this city of 250,000 Guess most of these are still on the road. New one at the dealer was the cheapest I could find. $309 Canadian bucks. Also I trashed the old one trying to remove it from its spot. I have now booked an appointment as I'm sick of wreckin stuff on the wifes car. Labour will be an hour at a cost of $105. Add in taxes on both the part and the repair as we Canadians are luck enough to pay a tax on services???? and we can round it off at about 475. Sure these Camry's go on and on forever but man to they cost big when they need something. Learned a big lesson about changing struts. BE CAREFUL WITH THE LINES.

try car-part.com. I usually have good luck with them, but dont email them. They usually don't check email. always call them and ask availability because some don't remove their posts after an item is sold.
